Why is the site called "Once When The Sun Was Shining..." and the URL is "http://tobycomic.tripod.com"?
Simply because Goody Fox was my favourite character and I originally wanted to just create a tribute site to that character.The
reason for the URL address is to get listed on Google more easily.The two go hand in hand really as I soon thought it would
be a shame to omit all the other wonderful characters.
Why do you not list your email address so we can contact you?
Because of spammers and other nasties!If you need to reach me,leave a message in the guestbook.
What was so unique about Toby?
Toby was unique in that it appealed to the older child as well as catering for the pre-school kids.Look carefully and you
will see the complete absence of speech bubbles in the frames.This meant a younger child with little or no literacy skills
could still follow the story and the older child could read it while being introduced to new words.Clever,eh?Of course,it
also encouraged Adults to read to their kids while they viewed the pictures.
